Sensitive and Reliable Hydrogel Sensor Using CRISPR and Nanozyme for Detecting Foodborne Germs

Updated

Abstract

The CRISPR-responsive AIE MOFzyme hydrogel platform demonstrated high sensitivity for detecting Salmonella enterica.

  • Programmable CRISPR/Cas12a can enhance signal amplification in biosensors.
  • AIE MOFzyme exhibited improved fluorescent properties and peroxidase-like activity.
  • The platform activates DNA hydrogel phase transitions to release AIE MOFzymes.
  • The resulting signal amplification is more sensitive than many existing detection methods.
  • This approach may help in the design of multifunctional nanozyme hydrogels.
