A collection of gene-edited mice for studying flu virus functions

Updated

Abstract

A library of 84 gene-modified mouse lines was developed to study host factors in influenza A virus infection.

  • Seventeen host factors were identified whose removal provided resistance to influenza A virus.
  • Two specific factors, Arhgef28 and Lasp1, demonstrated different protective mechanisms against the virus.
  • The platform aims to enhance understanding of virus-host interactions in a living organism.
  • This resource may facilitate the translation of in vitro findings into practical insights regarding viral pathogenesis.
