Abstract

This study aims to compare diabetic retinal disease onset or progression between established semaglutide or tirzepatide users and patients without documented exposure to either drug.

  • Diabetic retinal disease onset or progression is evaluated in relation to the use of semaglutide or tirzepatide.
  • Secondary objectives include making comparisons based on specific medications and assessing visual acuity.
  • Nonarteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy (NAION) cases are evaluated separately in a descriptive manner.
