Abstract

Chest pain is a dominant symptom of Long Covid-19 syndrome (LCS).

Infection with the SARS-CoV-2 virus may lead to various long-term effects beyond respiratory symptoms.
The exact cause of chest pain in LCS is not fully understood.
Chest pain may be associated with injury to endothelial and myocardial cells due to SARS-CoV-2 infection.

Beyond the respiratory symptoms of acute Infection from the SARS-CoV-2 virus, there is evidence that infection with the SARS-CoV-2 virus can cause many significant long-term effects, which are currently termed "Long Covid-19 syndrome (LCS)". Chest pain is one of the dominant symptoms of LCS. The exact mechanism of chest pain in LCS is not fully understood but can be potentially related to endothelial and myocardial cell injury caused by SARS-CoV-2 infection.
