Abstract
A young patient treated with teduglutide for 5 years developed diffuse gallbladder epithelial proliferation.
- Teduglutide is an analog of glucagon-like peptide 2 that promotes cell growth in the gastrointestinal tract.
- The patient maintained normal biochemical liver and gallbladder markers during treatment.
- No gallstones were present in the patient despite the observed proliferation.
- Long-term administration of teduglutide could require further monitoring for potential side effects.
