DNA-guided CRISPR-Cas12a tools for targeted RNA detection and cutting
Updated
Abstract
Essence
Engineered Cas12a was repurposed to use synthetic DNA guides for programmable RNA recognition, cleavage, detection, and intracellular knockdown.
Evidence
This mechanistic platform study used structural, biophysical, biochemical, and intracellular knockdown experiments on engineered Cas12a deoxyribonucleoprotein complexes to define DNA-guided RNA targeting.
Caveat
The evidence is preclinical and platform-focused, so it does not establish therapeutic benefit or in vivo performance.
