Abstract

The cardio-ankle vascular index (CAVI) is a predictor of cardiovascular events.

CAVI is a marker of arterial stiffness that does not depend on blood pressure.
The relationship between oral semaglutide and arterial stiffness is not well understood.
Effects of low doses of oral semaglutide on CAVI have not been clearly established.
