How Different Doses of Epidural Dexmedetomidine with Ropivacaine Affect Pain Relief During Labor
Updated
Abstract
The estimated median effective dose of dexmedetomidine combined with 0.075% ropivacaine for epidural labor analgesia is 0.085 μg/mL.
- The 95% effective dose of dexmedetomidine with ropivacaine is estimated at 0.357 μg/mL.
- No differences were observed in sensory block levels or analgesic dosages across different dexmedetomidine groups.
- There were no significant variations in cesarean delivery rates, fetal birth weights, or Apgar scores among the groups.
- A longer duration of the first stage of labor was noted in the group receiving 0.5 μg/mL of dexmedetomidine.
