A dual electrochemical and color-based sensor using amplified DNA reactions and CRISPR for detecting MTGase

Updated

Abstract

A detection limit of 0.12 ng/mL for microbial transglutaminase (MTGase) was achieved using a dual-mode aptasensor.

  • MTGase-treated wheat products may cause immunoreactivity linked to celiac disease and intestinal barrier damage.
  • The developed sensor utilizes high-affinity aptamers and HCR-CRISPR/Cas12a cascade amplification to enhance detection signals.
  • The sensor demonstrates a linear detection range from 0.5 to 2000 ng/mL.
  • Stability and reproducibility are confirmed, with satisfactory recovery in real sample analyses.
  • The integration of aptamer recognition and bifunctional nanomaterials enables simultaneous electrochemical and colorimetric outputs.
