Updated

Abstract

  • Survival rates did not show significant differences between early palliative care and standard cancer care, based on four studies with 800 participants.
  • Depressive symptoms did not differ significantly between early palliative care and standard care groups.
  • Early palliative care was associated with a small reduction in symptom intensity compared to standard care.
  • Adverse events related to early palliative care were reported in one study, while six studies indicated no observed adverse events.
