How well two questionnaires measure long-term COVID-19 symptoms in children

KINDL scores and CSSI-24 symptom scores may help flag children with pediatric who need closer follow-up.

Evidence

This cross-sectional diagnostic validation study included 84 children and adolescents with PASC, found a KINDL-CSSI-24 correlation of r=-0.44, and identified a KINDL cutoff of 74.75 with an AUC of 0.82.

Caveat

The cutoff comes from a small PASC-only sample and comparisons with historical cohorts, so larger and more diverse validation is still needed before broad screening use.
