Effectiveness of Repeat Endoscopic Sleeve Gastroplasty After Initial Sleeve Stomach Surgery

Updated

Abstract

Total body weight loss post-revisional endoscopic sleeve gastroplasty (r-ESG) was 12.6% at 24 months.

  • Weight loss outcomes post-r-ESG increased progressively, with 8.6% at 12 months, 10.7% at 18 months, and 12.6% at 24 months.
  • No significant predictors were identified for achieving weight loss of 5% or more at 12 months.
  • Revisional endoscopic sleeve gastroplasty may serve as an effective and durable treatment for weight recurrence after laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy.
