Abstract
Template-jumping prime editing (TJ-PE) enables the replacement of genomic fragments in rice of up to 340 bp and precise deletions of 944 to 2024 bp.
- TJ-PE can replace genomic sequences with homologous DNA fragments ranging from dozens to hundreds of base pairs.
- The method achieved precise deletion efficiencies of up to 34.6% for approximately 2000-bp segments.
- This approach enhances the potential for large-scale genomic editing in rice.
- TJ-PE establishes a versatile tool for both deletion and replacement of significant DNA segments.
