Fatigue, thinking problems, breathlessness, anxiety, and depression after COVID-19 in Southern Tunisia

Abstract

In a study of 75 participants, 88% reported experiencing fatigue after COVID-19.

  • Fatigue was reported to have a severe impact on daily life by 45.3% of participants.
  • Cognitive complaints and anxiety were highly associated with fatigue, with odds ratios of 25.3.
  • 80% of participants experienced cognitive complaints, while 44% reported anxiety and 28.6% reported depression.
  • Severe dyspnea was noted in 14.7% of participants, with age significantly linked to dyspnea.
  • Post-COVID symptoms represent a substantial public health challenge due to their prevalence and impact.
