Flexible semaglutide dosing lowers early treatment stopping while keeping similar results in obese patients

Updated

Abstract

Essence

Flexible semaglutide dosing in obese patients was linked with short-term weight and waist reductions and relatively low discontinuation by 6 months.

Evidence

This retrospective real-world Italian study followed 111 obese patients receiving weekly injectable semaglutide with outcomes measured at 3 and 6 months.

Caveat

The study was short, observational, and did not compare flexible dosing against a randomized fixed-dose strategy.
