Abstract

Glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists (GLP-1RA) may improve liver and non-liver complications in patients with type 2 diabetes and chronic viral hepatitis.

  • Patients with type 2 diabetes and chronic viral hepatitis often experience worsened health outcomes.
  • Current pharmacological therapies for these conditions are limited in effectiveness.
  • GLP-1RA represents a new class of anti-diabetic drugs with potential benefits beyond glucose control.
