Better blood sugar and weight control by adding Dulaglutide to SGLT2 inhibitors in obese type 2 diabetes patients with high heart risk

Updated

Abstract

A cohort of 334 patients treated with Dulaglutide experienced a significant reduction in HbA1c levels and body mass index after six months.

  • HbA1c levels decreased by 8.0 ± 10.5 mmol/mol after 6 months of treatment (p < 0.0001).
  • Body mass index reduced by 1.1 ± 1.1 kg/m after the same treatment duration (p < 0.0001).
  • The effectiveness of Dulaglutide was consistent across different cardiovascular risk categories, ages, and durations of type 2 diabetes.
  • Participants had a mean age of 65.9 years, with 33.5% being female and 66.5% male.
