Circular RNA vaccine targeting GPC3 may slow liver cancer by boosting the immune system

Updated

Abstract

Essence

A GPC3 circular RNA vaccine, especially with a TLR4 agonist, suppressed hepatocellular carcinoma progression by strengthening adaptive immune responses in preclinical models.

Evidence

This preclinical cancer-vaccine study tested circGPC3 therapy and combination adjuvant treatment in HCC, with multiplex imaging, single-cell sequencing, spatial transcriptomics, and mass cytometry in mice to characterize immune mechanisms.

Caveat

The therapeutic claim is limited to preclinical HCC models, so human efficacy, durability, and safety remain untested in the abstract.
