Abstract
Fecal microbiomes were analyzed in 98 dogs, with 49 diagnosed with idiopathic epilepsy (IE) and 49 as controls.
- The study investigates the connection between gut microbiota and idiopathic epilepsy in dogs.
- Microbiome alterations may be associated with the presence of IE.
- 16S rRNA gene sequencing was used to characterize the microbiomes.
- The findings could contribute to understanding the role of the microbiome in neurological disorders.
