Abstract
The mean score for hospitalized elder abuse was 58.12 ± 16.27 among 235 older adults.
- A significant inverse relationship was found between hospitalized elder abuse and perceived health (r = -0.195, p = .004).
- This relationship remained significant after adjusting for factors such as age, marital status, mobility status, and hospitalization duration (β = -0.23, p = .007).
- The mean perceived health score was 99.93 ± 14.02, indicating a potential correlation with abuse experiences.
- Findings suggest the importance of assessing perceived abuse and health in hospitalized older adults.
