Low Blood Pressure During Children's Heart Catheterization Under General Anesthesia: Remimazolam Compared to Sevoflurane

Updated

Abstract

The incidence of hypotension was 39.3% in the remimazolam group and 46.4% in the sevoflurane group.

  • No significant difference in hypotension incidence between remimazolam and sevoflurane was observed (P = .79).
  • The median systolic arterial pressure was significantly higher in the remimazolam group compared to the sevoflurane group (91.4% vs 83.2%, P = .03).
  • A total of 309 patients were analyzed, with 28 in each group after adjusting for confounding factors.
  • Hypotension was defined as a time-averaged area where systolic arterial pressure fell below 80% of baseline.
