  • Elevated levels of intestinal biomarkers, such as S100B and calprotectin, are observed in individuals with ASD.
  • Fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT) has the potential to restore microbial diversity and enhance the production of beneficial compounds.
  • Restoring gut health through FMT may reduce systemic inflammation and improve both gastrointestinal and behavioral symptoms in ASD individuals.
