Abstract
An injectable hydrogel system effectively delivers the anti-inflammatory drugs tannic acid and resveratrol to degenerated intervertebral discs.
- This hydrogel system is designed to provide local and sustained drug delivery.
- Tannic acid is delivered directly, while resveratrol is delivered indirectly via inflammation-responsive nanoparticles.
- In vitro and in vivo tests indicate that the hydrogel system may reduce inflammation in degenerated intervertebral discs.
