Abstract
A Phase 3 clinical trial will assess the efficacy and safety of adding a GLP-1 receptor agonist and an SGLT2 inhibitor to insulin therapy in overweight and obese adults with Type 1 Diabetes and elevated glycaemia.
- The trial targets participants with HbA1c levels between 7.5% and 11.0%.
- Insulin therapy in Type 1 Diabetes is often associated with weight gain.
- Adding modern glucose-lowering agents may enhance glycaemic control.
- Potential risks include hypoglycaemia and ketosis with adjunct therapies.
