Intravenous antibody treatment for long COVID: a report of patient symptoms and immune responses

Essence

High-dose intravenous immunoglobulin was associated with sustained clinical recovery and reduced immune activation markers in one long COVID patient.

Evidence

This single-patient case report followed a previously healthy 39-year-old man with long COVID for 1 year during IVIG plus cognitive stimulation and serial immunologic profiling.

Caveat

Causality cannot be established from one patient, especially with concurrent cognitive stimulation and no comparator.
