Three different light cycles significantly altered the expression of circadian rhythm genes in carrot.

  • Circadian rhythm genes, including DcLNK1, DcLNK3, DcRVEa, DcRVEb, and DcGI, showed distinct responses to varying light cycles.
  • Different photoperiod treatments affected photosynthetic parameters and stomatal activity in carrots.
  • The findings suggest a molecular regulatory network may connect photoperiod perception to physiological responses in carrots.
