Essence

In high-anesthesiology-risk patients with weight regain after sleeve gastrectomy, liraglutide 3.0 mg was associated with substantial weight loss over 6 months.

Evidence

This retrospective analysis included 40 ASA 3 patients with at least one comorbidity after and reported median weight reduction from 91 kg before treatment to 75 kg at 6 months with liraglutide 3.0 mg.

Caveat

The study was a small retrospective single-arm series with only 6 months of follow-up, so the effect cannot be separated from selection or follow-up bias.
