Identifying long non-coding RNA markers linked to esophageal squamous cell cancer progression

Abstract

A total of 259 deregulated long non-coding RNAs were identified between early- and advanced-stage esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC).

  • A nine-long non-coding RNA signature was established, including AC098973, AL133493, RP11-51M24, RP11-317N8, RP11-834C11, RP11-69C17, LINC00471, LINC01193, and RP1-124C.
  • This lncRNA signature may predict tumor stage and patient survival rate with high reliability and accuracy.
  • The identified lncRNAs are primarily involved in regulating the cell cycle and DNA replication.
  • These biological processes are associated with the progression of ESCC.
