MAPK3 influences gene regulation of SKAP2 in acute myeloid leukemia

Updated

Abstract

MAPK3 is identified as a key protein involved in CTCF-mediated chromatin regulation in acute myeloid leukemia (AML).

  • CTCF-binding proteins were identified in AML cell lines through mass spectrometry.
  • MAPK3 modulation was shown to significantly affect CTCF binding at specific regions of DNA.
  • CTCF-regulated interactions between enhancers and promoters at the SKAP2 gene are influenced by MAPK3 activity.
  • Deletion of specific enhancer regions at the SKAP2 locus resulted in reduced SKAP2 gene expression.
  • These findings suggest that MAPK3 plays a crucial role in regulating chromatin interactions in AML.
