Using MRI scans of multiple organs to estimate healthy aging and detect disease

Updated

Abstract

Essence

MRI-based age gaps across seven organs were linked to molecular profiles, disease risk, mortality, and cognitive trajectories.

Evidence

The evidence is a large multi-omics and genetic analysis of 313,645 MULTI Consortium participants developing seven MRIBAG clocks and linking them to proteins, metabolites, variants, disease endpoints, mortality, and solanezumab trial trajectories.

Caveat

The solanezumab cognitive heterogeneity could not be fully attributed to the drug, and prioritized anti-aging targets remain candidates for future treatment work.
