Abstract
Both mRNA-1273 and BNT162b2 vaccines elicit similarly robust humoral immunity in nursing home residents.
- Nursing home residents remain highly vulnerable to severe outcomes from SARS-CoV-2.
- Immunologic evaluations were conducted on residents who received either mRNA-1273 or BNT162b2 bivalent vaccines.
- Strong humoral responses were observed against both the ancestral Wuhan strain and Omicron BA.4/5 subvariants.
- Spike-binding antibody levels and neutralizing titers were comparable between the two vaccine formulations.
- Timely booster administration may be more critical than the specific vaccine product in this population.
