Lipid Nanoparticles Changing the Tumor Immune Environment to Improve Breast Cancer Chemo-Immunotherapy

Updated

Abstract

The FA-CS-R848/DOX@Lip formulation demonstrated an average size of 221.53 nm with over 80% drug encapsulation efficiency for doxorubicin.

  • FA-CS-R848/DOX@Lip exhibited greater cytotoxicity compared to non-targeted liposomes.
  • In vivo treatment with FA-CS-R848/DOX@Lip significantly inhibited tumor growth compared to saline.
  • No significant hematological or biochemical toxicity was observed following treatment.
  • The formulation increased the MHC II/CD206 ratio in tumor-associated macrophages.
  • Elevated proportions of CD8 and CD4 T cells were noted, alongside a reduction in myeloid-derived suppressor cells.
