  • This patient had a significantly prolonged intrinsic circadian period of approximately 25 hours.
  • The second patient exhibited reduced retinal response yet maintained melatonin suppression across all light conditions.
  • His intrinsic circadian period remained within the upper physiological range at 24.20 hours.
  • These findings suggest that non-24-h sleep-wake disorder may arise from dysfunction at different levels of the circadian system.
