Link between the ratio of white blood cells to a blood protein and sleep disorders in US adults

Abstract

In a sample of 4574 participants, 28.1% were diagnosed with sleep disorders.

  • A significant correlation was observed between the (NPAR) and the prevalence of sleep disorders (odds ratio (OR) = 1.076).
  • The association between NPAR and sleep disorders remained significant after adjusting for demographic factors (OR = 1.058) and socioeconomic factors (OR = 1.051).
  • Visualizations using restricted cubic splines confirmed a positive correlation between NPAR and sleep disorders.
  • Subgroup analyses indicated consistent associations across various demographic groups, with no significant influence from factors other than gender.
