Poor sleep quality affected 50.2% of Turkish medical students surveyed.

  • 14.7% of participants were identified as at high risk for night eating syndrome (NES).
  • There was a significant correlation between poor sleep quality and insomnia severity, emotional eating, and anxiety.
  • Students with poor sleep had higher mean night eating scores compared to those with better sleep.
  • 34.7% of participants reported symptoms of restless legs, with varying degrees of severity.
  • Alcohol use was identified as a significant lifestyle factor associated with night eating scores.
