Abstract
Olfactory dysfunction is a common symptom in COVID-19 and Long COVID.
- There is uncertainty about the correlation between perceived impairment of smell and taste and objectively measured olfactory dysfunction.
- Adult patients with Long COVID may experience different levels of olfactory impairment compared to healthy individuals and those previously infected with SARS-CoV-2.
- Objective measurements of olfactory dysfunction may not align with individuals' subjective experiences of their smell and taste abilities.
