Abstract

The serotonergic psychedelic N,N-dimethyltryptamine (DMT) may have therapeutic effects in various psychiatric disorders.

DMT is associated with potential benefits in treating psychiatric conditions.
Its effects may influence mood, perception, and cognition.
Preliminary findings suggest a role in alleviating symptoms of anxiety and depression.
