Diabetes mellitus is associated with reduced activity of key pluripotency genes in bone tissue.

  • Chronic hyperglycemia, oxidative stress, and inflammation may impair bone metabolism in diabetes.
  • Reduced osteoblast activity is observed in diabetic conditions.
  • Key pluripotency genes such as OCT4, NANOG, SOX2, and REX1 show downregulation in diabetic mice.
  • The timing of aerobic exercise may influence gene expression related to pluripotency in bone tissue.
