Using Poly-L-Lactic Acid and Hyaluronic Acid Fillers for Cosmetic Treatment After Weight Loss Caused by GLP-1 Medications: Real Cases from Latin America

Abstract

Participants achieved 17.9% weight reduction from baseline.

  • Facial Laxity Rating Scale (FLRS) scores decreased significantly from 4.5 to 2.6 after treatment.
  • Wrinkle Severity Rating Scale (WSRS) scores also showed improvement, dropping from 3.1 to 1.9.
  • More than half of the participants (53%) experienced a reduction in FLRS by 2 points or more.
  • Eighty-five percent of patients with a baseline WSRS greater than 1 showed improvement.
  • All participants reported some degree of aesthetic improvement, with 40% rating it as 'exceptional'.
  • No serious adverse events were noted; mild side effects resolved within 72 hours.
