Abstract
The RT-LAMP assay demonstrated a 91.3% sensitivity in detecting porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus (PRRSV) in clinical samples.
- The assay effectively detected all 22 different PRRSV isolates tested.
- There was no cross-reaction with four other swine viruses: PCV2, SIV, CSFV, and PEDV.
- Results were analyzed using agarose gel electrophoresis or a colorimetric method.
- The assay can be performed in less equipped laboratories and field settings.
