The time trial performance was faster with chocolate milk than with carbohydrate or placebo, with an average time of 79.43 minutes.

- Phosphorylation of the mammalian target of rapamycin was significantly greater at recovery minute 45 with chocolate milk than with carbohydrate or placebo.
