Updated

Abstract

A total of 2363 individuals received psilocybin at regulated service centers in Oregon and Colorado.

  • Preexisting mental health issues were common among participants, reported in 66% of cases.
  • Psilocybin doses varied from 1-95 mg, with an average dose of 28.8 mg.
  • Participants showed a 49% improvement in depression scores (PHQ-9) and a 51% improvement in anxiety scores (GAD-7) two weeks after dosing.
  • Well-being scores (WHO-5) improved by 22% at the same follow-up period.
  • Mystical experience scores were found to be dose-dependent.
  • Ninety-four mild adverse events occurred, along with five serious events not clearly linked to treatment.
