Psilocybin-assisted therapy (PAT) may be a potential treatment for PTSD in U.S. military Veterans.
- PTSD is more severe in military Veterans compared to the general population.
- Veterans face increased risks of suicide associated with PTSD.
- Preliminary findings suggest PAT could benefit individuals with PTSD.
- Further research is needed to assess the safety and effectiveness of PAT in this population.
