Abstract
Efficacy of a 3-day treatment with pyronaridine-artesunate plus primaquine reached 98.3% in one trial location.
- The trial included 104 participants treated for malaria in western Cambodia.
- At Day 42, the PCR-adjusted adequate clinical and parasitological response (ACPR) was 98.3% in Trapeng Chau and 100% in Veal Veng.
- Day 28 ACPR for pyronaridine-artesunate was also high, with rates of 98.3% and 100% at the respective locations.
- Approximately 80.6% of patients presented with drug resistance molecular markers.
