Updated

Abstract

A total of 3064 papers related to telemedicine and sensor security were collected from 2007 to 2017.

  • Nineteen articles were selected and classified into two categories regarding security and privacy in telemedicine applications based on sensors.
  • Surveys on telemedicine articles and their applications accounted for 57.89% (n = 11/19) of the selected studies.
  • The second category, focusing on the three-tiered architecture of telemedicine, represented 42.1% (n = 8/19) of the selected articles.
  • In a review of finger vein biometric verification systems, 80% (n = 52/65) of the articles concentrated on development and design.
