Updated

Abstract

A total of 748 paired temperature measurements were analyzed from 38 patients using the SpotOn system.

  • The mean temperature difference between SpotOn and bladder thermometry was -0.07°C.
  • The mean temperature difference between SpotOn and rectal thermometry was -0.24°C.
  • Temperature measurements ranged from 36.6°C to 39.9°C.
  • Most temperature differences between methods were within ± 0.5°C, with 96% for bladder and 85% for rectal thermometry.
  • SpotOn demonstrates excellent agreement and good precision for noninvasive continuous core temperature monitoring.
