Updated

Abstract

  • ADHD medication initiation was associated with reductions in depression, anxiety, irritability, and aggression.
  • Participants reported reduced alcohol use and healthier dietary choices after starting medication.
  • Physical health measures showed changes, including elevated heart rate, lower blood pressure, and reduced waist circumference.
  • Increased physical activity, less restlessness, and improved sleep quality were observed during the on-medication phase.
