Differences in Daily Rest and Activity Patterns During Early Rehabilitation Between Stroke Patients and Other Patients

Updated

Abstract

Patients who had a stroke exhibited a higher least active 5-hour value compared to a control group.

  • Poststroke patients had a median least active 5-hour value of 4.29, significantly higher than the control group's median of 1.84.
  • No significant differences were found in the most active 10-hour values between poststroke patients and controls.
  • Poststroke patients demonstrated a lower relative amplitude (median 0.74) than controls (median 0.88).
  • A negative correlation was identified between the 4 A's Test scores and relative amplitude in poststroke patients.
  • Positive correlations were observed between the Barthel Index scores and both interdaily stability and the most active 10-hour value across all participants.
