Comparing the Effectiveness and Safety of Three Weight-Loss Surgeries: Roux-en-Y, One-Anastomosis, and Single-Anastomosis with Sleeve Gastrectomy

Eighteen studies were reviewed to compare the safety and efficacy of Roux-en-Y gastric bypass, one anastomosis gastric bypass, and single anastomosis duodeno-ileal bypass with sleeve gastrectomy.

• SADI-S showed greater weight loss at 5 years compared to other procedures.
• OAGB demonstrated better weight loss outcomes at 10 years.
• SADI-S was associated with a better resolution of diabetes.
• OAGB resulted in improved resolution of hypertension and dyslipidemia.
