Effects of Sacubitril/Valsartan and Metoprolol Together on Heart Function, Heart Structure, and Blood Vessel Health in Patients with Coronary Heart Disease and Heart Failure

Updated

Abstract

A total of 138 patients with coronary heart disease and heart failure were analyzed for treatment outcomes over 3 months.

  • The Combination group showed a significant improvement in NYHA cardiac function grading compared to the Metoprolol group.
  • Serum levels of cardiac injury markers, cTnI and NT-proBNP, were significantly lower in the Combination group after treatment.
  • The Combination group exhibited a substantial increase in left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) and reductions in left ventricular diameters (LVEDD and LVESD).
  • Endothelial function improved in the Combination group, with decreased serum endothelin-1 levels and increased nitric oxide levels.
  • No significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions was observed between the two treatment groups.
